The Scrumptious Plate - full description
The Scrumptious Plate Cookbook Club
Food is life. Food is love. Food is health. Food is community. Food is culture. Food is art. Food is creative expression. Food is fellowship. Food is connection. Food is comfort. Food is warmth. Food is acceptance.
What it is
The Scrumptious Plate cookbook club is a cookbook club for everyone--from foodies to beginners in the kitchen to experienced home cooks to culinary aficionados. We will cover a range of different types of cookbooks. Every month we will feature a new focus. These topics include Southern cuisine, healthy comfort food, cooking with herbs & spices, eating well on a budget, themed meals, and more... Moderated by Quail Ridge Books team member and cooking enthusiast, Mara Mathews. The Scrumptious Plate meets the second Saturday of each month at 2 pm.
Available spots for each meeting are limited. To guarantee your place, we recommend early sign-up!
How it works
The Scrumptious Plate members will register for the cookbook session(s) they are interested in participating in. Once their registration is confirmed, participants will pick up their cookbook copy from Quail Ridge Books. They will select a recipe from the featured cookbook to make and share at the cookbook club meeting. Members should arrive at 1:45p on the day of the cookbook club meeting for set-up.
All meeting participants must be signed up as members of the cookbook club.
Registrants will be provided access to the recipe sign-up form after registration confirmation. Recipe selection is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no guarantee of getting your first, second, or third preferences.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can email email@example.com.
What's the refund policy?
There are no refunds of registration fees.
Do I have to bring my printed registration confirmation to the meeting?
You do not. We will have your name on a list.
Is my registration fee transferable?
No. If you are unable to attend the cookbook club session that you have registered for, you may not attend a different session in substitute. However, if something comes up and you cannot attend the cookbook club meeting(s) for which you are registered, we will hold a copy of the cookbook(s) for you at Quail Ridge Books.
Do I need to attend every club meeting to be a member?
While we hope that you will register for and participate in all of the cookbook club meetings, you are welcome to sign up for as few or as many meetings as you like.
At least one week prior to the cookbook club meeting, registrants will be contacted and asked to confirm participation.
Individuals on the waitlist will be contacted via email if a spot in a particular cookbook meeting opens up. They will have 24 hours to respond before the available spot is closed to them and offered to someone else.
