We give you a 21% discount on most titles for schools, libraries, and classrooms. The experienced staff of the Institutional Sales team are here to help you find the books you need. Our free shipping over $50 does not apply to school or business orders. A restocking fee of up to 10% may be charged on eligible returns that exceed $100.
We understand you often need a cost estimate before ordering. We are typically able to offer a 21% discount on titles for classroom or school use. There is no minimum number of books to be eligible for this discount. It is very helpful if you can provide the following information when you request a quote:
- Title of book and author
- Number of copies needed
- Hardcover or softcover
- If a particular edition is needed (ISBN is helpful)
- Your due date for needing the materials
If you do not state a preference, we will try to fill your request in the most cost-efficient way possible. The easiest way to provide this information is through our quote/order request form here but you are also welcome to email or call.
We partner with major publishers to coordinate visits from children’s authors and illustrators to local schools. Most of these visits are FREE to the school. We can work with tax-exempt PTAs/PTSAs to keep the cost of books down or to use the proceeds from the book sales as a school fundraiser. Yes! Quail Ridge Books does book fairs!
Your school earns a 21% commission on books sold at a Quail Ridge book fair. The book fair will include sales made on site at your school, in our beautiful store, and online through our website.
We offer a high quality selection tailored to your school or preschool community. We provide equipment for you to accept credit cards as well as cash and checks. We work with all major publishers to guarantee that the stock at your book fair reflects the reading habits, needs, and interests of your school or organization.
We also work with non-profits and church groups to organize book fairs for fundraising and to purchase books for communities in need.

Readers’ Club Membership
We offer a complimentary Readers’ Club membership to educators of pre-k through grade 12 students. Home school educators are eligible too! Email us with your contact information to sign up.
Payment options include invoice, direct pay, credit card, cash, check, and purchase order. Just tell us your preference and we can work with you and your agency.

Do you need books for your classroom or library? Do you have parents or community members that would love to help out but don’t know how? Consider creating a wish list with Quail Ridge to help parents help you. This is especially great at the beginning of the school year and around the holidays.
We partner with schools to host class and summer camp field trips to the store. Students may purchase books or assist librarians to select books for the school library. We tailor presentations to the age and interests of your students. Topics include writing, publishing, working in a bookstore, the history of Quail Ridge Books, the shop local movement, female-owned businesses, or simply new book recommendations. We also offer story time to groups of young children.
