Request an Event - Children's Books

Congratulations on the publication of your children's book and thank you for thinking of us!

Due to the expense of events and high volume of requests, we unfortunately have to turn down most proposals. Please consider submitting your book for consignment on our shelves as an alternative. Information about how to do that can be found here.

Note that we prioritize events for newly published children's books, and rarely schedule an event for more than a few weeks after the publication date. Please only send requests for events at least a month before the book’s release date. This helps create a more successful event in celebration of the publication, and ensures attendees purchase the book at QRB rather than elsewhere in advance.

A successful event does begin with the author attracting local acquaintances - we rely heavily on your community. We do expect authors to promote the event themselves on social media.

If you would like to request an in-store reading, please fill out the following form. A physical, non-returnable review copy should be mailed or dropped off at the store at the attention of our Events Coordinator, Kristen, and/or Children's Department Manager, Abbe.
