Lisa Yarger - 'Lovie: The Story of a Southern Midwife'

For over 50 years, Lovie delivered thousands of babies in (mostly) poor Eastern NC homes.  Lisa Yarger visits on Thursday, March 2, at 7 pm to share Lovie:The Story of a Southern Midwife and an Unlikely Friendship. Both a chronicle of a changing NC and midwifery, Lovie also asks how does someone retire from a field when it forms her whole identity.
