BILL GRIFFIN, Crossing the River
Bill Griffin is a small town family doctor in rural NC. This is his first full-length collection. The poems are strongly rooted in place and in the human experience, personal yet universal. Readers will not easily forget scenes taken from the daily and shaped into poems of strength and compassion.

 

VALERIE MACON, The Shape of Today
Her poetry currently appears in Kakalak. She is one of 40 essay writers selected from NC and Kentucky for inclusion in Bearing Up—Victory, Survival and Calamity.  Her new collection is like Instagram in words, the poems evokes all the senses.
