Tracy Banghart ('Grace and Fury') in conversation with Kaitlyn Sage Patterson ('The Diminished')

Join us for this teen event celebrating two new young adult books featuring characters fighting for freedom. We recommend these books for ages 13 and older.

Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart is The Handmaid's Tale for teens. In a world where women have no rights, sisters Serina and Nomi face two very different fates: one trapped as a perfect Grace in a beautiful palace, the other fighting to the death in a volcanic island prison. Intrigue and romance abound in this new fantasy!

The Diminished by Kaitlyn Sage Patterson challenges the status quo. In the Alskad Empire, nearly all are born with a twin, two halves to form one whole. Bo and Vi are considered oddities: Bo because he is an only child, a Singleborn, and Vi because her twin died in infancy, a Diminished. Under normal circumstances, Bo and Vi would never meet. He is destined to be king. She is a temple servant. But then a shocking revelation makes them both targets of the Suzerain religious orders’ assassins and forces them into a race for their freedom.

Both authors join us to discuss their new books.

Bold, brutal, and beautiful—a must-read fantasy full of fierce sisterhood, action, and political intrigue for fans of The Selection series, Caraval, and The Handmaid's Tale.

Serina Tessaro has been groomed her whole life to become a Grace—someone to stand by the heir to the throne as a shining, subjugated example of the perfect woman.
