Rick Riordan - 'The Ship of the Dead'

We are currently SOLD OUT of admission tickets for this event.  However, you can still get a signed copy of the book! Mr. Riordan will be able to sign books for those not attending and we will hold your signed copy (or copies) under your name at the counter for pick up starting October 5th. 

He's arguably the most popular author currently writing for kids.  When Rick Riordan comes to town, it truly is an event.  He last joined us for The Last Olympian, the finale to his beloved Percy Jackson series.  Now Rick returns on Wednesday, Oct 4, at 7 pm with The Ship of the Dead, the third book in and the finale of his Norse mythology series Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard.  We know from experience what a crowd turns out for Rick, so this event is at the large, comfortable McKimmon Center at NC State.  The program is co-sponsored by our friends, the NC State Friends of the Library. Doors open at 6 pm.  There are no assigned seats, but don't worry - all seats are good. And you'll want to try to get here early for the pre-show fun and games.

Rick will be doing a program and taking questions.  He is presigning copies before his program.  Books will be autographed, but not personalized.  There will not be a signing line after the program. Only QRB copies of The Ship of the Dead will be signed. Guests are welcome to take pictures and video while Rick presents, but he will not be able to stop and pose for pictures during or after the program.

Receive two admission tickets with each pre-ordered QRB copy of The Ship of the Dead.  Please arrive early at the McKimmon Center to pick up your copy and tickets.  If there are books and tickets still available, they will be for sale at the door. We cannot guarantee availability.  We strongly recommend pre-ordering. Please indicate in the Order Comments field how many tickets you need (up to two per book). If you plan to pick the book up at the event, please select "I would like to pick this up at the store." Guests are welcome to take pictures and video while Rick presents, but he will not be able to stop and pose for pictures during or after the program.
