How to Get an Agent and Navigate Publishing with Scott Reintgen

Calling all writers! The path from writing a manuscript to holding your first published novel comes with a lot of challenges. Author Scott Reintgen wants to help you navigate those. This intensive seminar will be a deep-dive into the query process, a look at what to expect from your literary agent, and a tutorial on what authors experience when they sell their first books. Scott was a 'slush-pile success'. He's gone from querying his first novel to publishing 7 books at Penguin Random House, with 3 more titles on the way. All that he's learned about the industry will be packed into this hour and a half session that will be the perfect way for you to gear up for pitching your own books. Bring your bookish dreams and your best questions so that we can all take our best first step into the industry!

Scott Reintgen is an author of science fiction and fantasy books. He wrote the Indie bestselling Nyxia trilogy, as well as the Talespinners series, Ashlords, and Bloodsworn. He began his career as an English and Creative Writing teacher in North Carolina. Ever since his first book deal, he has been a full-time writer. His books can be found in seven different languages, sold across twenty different countries. He's a student of his industry, and always hopes to prepare other writers by sharing the things that he wishes he'd known when he first queried. He currently lives in North Carolina with his wife Katie and his two boys, Henry and Thomas.
