Redbud Workshop: Intro to Poetry (IN STORE)
Have you always had an interest in poetry but don’t know where to start? Are you an avid poetry reader but never delved into writing poetry of your own? Do you have a desire to take on a new creative pursuit? This introduction to poetry class is a great place to start. Through this 6-week course designed with beginners in mind, we will explore various forms of poetry, what makes something a poem, and how to begin to write poems of your own. Each week we will tackle new areas of poetic craft, such as image, voice, style, and music. Through a series of accessible writing prompts, discussions, and workshops, we will open up the world of poetry.
