ABOUT THE PROGRAM

"Don’t really care about basketball? Hey! neither do we! Consider instead joining members of the NC chapter of the Horror Writers Association in our first public reading event! Five talented North Carolina Horror authors for the low, low price of FREE*! (*Not counting all the books you’re likely to buy, but can’t really afford. Seriously, you might have a problem. Have you talked to anybody? We’re all a little worried.) Terror! Excitement! Potentially objectionable content intended for a mature audience! Hosted by Horror maven and Quail Ridge alumnus Jon Carroll Thomas."

Her work has appeared in Flash Fiction Magazine, Kings River Life Magazine, Dark Fire Fiction, Pyre Magazine, The Furious Gazelle, Dark Yonder, Rock, Roll, and Ruin anthology from Down & Out Books, and Illicit Motions anthology from Unnerving Books. He has published 8 novels and 2 short fiction collections, including his most recent work, A MEETING IN THE DEVIL'S HOUSE. Rick Warren (Purpose Driven Life) in the same week.

Tori Fredrick

Tori Fredrick writes psychological horror (ranging from slightly depressing to relentlessly bleak) and stories for children (mostly veering away from “relentlessly bleak” for this audience). Her work has appeared in Underland Arcana, Dark Recesses, and Vastarien magazines, and she just finished her first novel.

Michael Williams

Michael G. Williams writes queer horror, sci-fi, and urban fantasy about outsiders finding their people, including A Fall in Autumn (Manly Wade Wellman Award), Perishables (Laine Cunningham Award), Through the Doors of Oblivion, and several short stories. He lives in Durham, NC, with his husband and a variety of animals. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the NC Writers' Network.
