A never-before-published, previously unfinished Mark Twain children’s story has been brought to life by Philip and Erin Stead. We have fallen in love with the Steads' illustrations and their Twain-inspired storytelling. On November 4th, we will have a Twain-themed book display, proudly featuring The Purloining of Prince Oleomargarine. We will read a chapter from the book at 11 am and 3 pm, as part of a country-wide National Read-Aloud-A-Thon. We can neither confirm nor deny a Mark Twain impersonator will be on hand, but our fingers are crossed!
