Triangle Association of Freelancers (TAF) Reading (IN STORE)

Triangle Association of Freelancers (TAF) is one of the largest organizations in North Carolina devoted to all aspects of fiction and nonfiction writing. Each year they publish a group anthology, which is both a showcase for their members’ writing, and a fundraiser for the organization.

The TAF Omnibus: Stories & Poems 2022 collection features 26 stories and poems by 18 writers, most based in North Carolina. The stories range from light and humorous to ominous and foreboding, and everything in between. They reveal intriguing motivations and startling inspirations, and ask the question: What would YOU do?

On Saturday, January 14, several contributors will read from their works, to be followed by a Q&A about the anthology, freelance writing, TAF and more. This year's contributors include Don Vaughan, Chanah Wizenberg, Rebecca Dalton, Keri Vilchinsky, Ana Sapkaliska, Lauren Clemmons, and Erika Hoffman. We invite you to join us for a fascinating journey into the imagination, where reality and fantasy merge in ways you never expected.

Triangle Association of Freelancers was established in 2003 and became a formal nonprofit in 2017 with a mission of providing networking, education and mentoring to writers in all forms and genres throughout North Carolina and surrounding states. Programs include monthly online meetings, an annual one-day writing conference called Write Now!, and a series of moderated
online conversations with prominent writers, editors and other industry professionals called TAF Talks.

“What a wonderful novel! Mimi Herman brings us a charming charlatan, a farming community at a major turning point, and the most appealing young heroine since Scout.” —Lee Smith, Southern Book Critics Circle Award winner and New York Times best-selling author of The Last Girls
