The Lucky Strikes (Paperback)
More lightning strikes occur in Arcadia, Florida than anywhere else in the United States. Roxanne Bishop and her father, Jack, are just trying to escape an unfortunate past when they pick Arcadia, thinking it's their best chance to blend in. Unfortunately for Roxie, she falls victim to Arcadia's claim to fame and suffers a lightning strike and, subsequently, some very interesting side effects. Even more alone than before, and desperate to find others like her, Roxie searches for a support group for lightning strike survivors. When she comes across an article on The Lucky Strikes, she thinks she's found the perfect opportunity to rebuild her identity. The exclusive group becomes Roxie's haven for release. No one else--not even her dad--understands the lasting effects of her incident the way the Strikes do, and eventually, she lets her guard down. When Roxie and Jack's past catches up with them in Florida and they have nowhere else to turn, can she rely on her new friends for help? Or does one of them hide secrets, too?
About the Author
Jenny Medenwald was born and raised in the Midwest. She loves: coffee, her German Shepherd named Tyson, the smell of fresh cut grass, red wine, winter, bonfires, rainy days curled up with a good book, tattoos, her husband and, of course, writing. Not necessarily in that order. She hates: obscenely hot weather, rude people, and bad grammar. Jenny started writing not long after graduating with an English degree from Indiana University. She has five young adult novels published on amazon.com with plans for many more. Jenny, her husband and Tyson call Indianapolis home.
