About the Author
JOSEPH PIERCY studied English and Philosophy at the University of Wolverhampton and holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing. He is the author of eleven books of non-fiction on a range of different subjects, but one of his main interests and areas of expertise is the social and cultural history of drinks. His titles include Slippery Tipples: A Guide to Weird and Wonderful Spirits and Liqueurs (7,400 copies). He lives in Brighton.
