KidZNotes - fundraiser at Quail RidgeWEDNESDAY, September 1 @ 7:30 p.m. - Katie Wyatt & Friends
What's KidZNotes?  It's a program that provides free instruments and instruction in classical music for underprivileged children.  It also provides opportunities for them to play in a symphony-style orchestra.  KidZNotes is modeled on El Sistema, a huge success in other countries.  Executive Director Katie Wyatt, an accomplished violinist, will share stories and videos from her time in Venezuela.   She will be joined in performance by KidZNotes community partners Ari Picker of the band Lost in the Trees, Bonnie Thron, principal cello of the N.C. Symphony, and Scott Laird from the N.C. School for Science and Math.

All that day (Sept. 1), Quail Ridge Books and Music is donating 20% of non-discounted sales IN STORE and ONLINE at www.quailridgebooks.com that day to KidZNotes. For the 20% contribution, you must mention KidZNotes when you make your purchase, or enter “kidznotes” into the Comments field when making your purchases online.
