Jan Karon

Jan Karon grew up near Lenoir, NC. After years in a successful advertising career, she left the field to move to Blowing Rock, NC, and concentrate on her childhood love, writing. She first published her “Father Tim” stories in her local newspaper. These became her first novel, AT HOME IN MITFORD.

Her subsequent Mitford novels have won numerous awards, and often land on the NYT bestseller list. She has also written children’s picture books, including the beloved MISS FANNIE’S HATS. Her most recent novel is HOME TO HOLLY SPRINGS (and no, it’s not the one in NC).
