Michael Pollan changed how we think about food with The Omnivore’s Dilemma. Now he shares his newest venture, Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation. Each section of Cooked tracks Pollan’s effort to master a single classic recipe using one of the four classical elements: fire, water, earth, air. Anyone can find something over which to marvel in this well-researched, engagingly written volume. This event will be at the Hunt Library Auditorium on Friday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. Co-sponsored by NCSU Friends of the Library.
Ticketed Event: One free admission ticket with the purchase from us of Cooked, in paperback or hardcover. With the purchase of a book-and-ticket combination, you can buy up to four additional tickets for $5 each. No tickets are available without the purchase of Cooked.
