Durham author John Darnielle's debut novel, Wolf in White Van, was nominated for the National Book Award. He returns on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 7 pm with his new novel, Universal Harvester. It's an unsettling flashback to the '90s, as life in a small town takes a dark turn when mysterious footage begins appearing on VHS cassettes at the local Video Hut. Find out what has creeped into sleepy Nevada, Iowa when John visits. You may also know him as the principal member of the band, Mountain Goats.
