Set in WWII Hickory, NC, a woman abruptly enters into a marriage, only to find her husband secretive and the townspeople hostile. Diane is the author of two dozen novels, including Pretending to Dance, The Silent Sister, Necessary Lies, and The Midwife's Confession.
Therese Fowler, best known for her novel, Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald, will introduce Diane.
