Anne Barnhill - 'The Beautician's Notebook'
One of our Independent Bookstore day highlights is our program with NC author Anne Barnhill. Anne's best known for her historical fiction (and amazing costumes). With The Beautician's Notebook, she steps into current day, and we're delighted to make her novel's launch part of our Independent Bookstore Day events. Willa Jo is the go-to beautician in a NC coastal town, and has kept a notebook of the stories and secrets her customers share with her. When rumors circulate the notebook may be published, Willa Jo is found murdered in her shop. Is something in the book a powerful enough motive?
Diane Chamberlain will be introducing! Diane returns on October 3 with her new book, The Stolen Marriage.
Join us on our big day Independent Bookstore Day, Saturday, April 29, at 3 pm for Anne's latest novel.
A sweeping tale of sexual seduction and intrigue at the court of Henry VIII, "At the Mercy of the Queen" is a rich and dramatic debut historical about Madge Shelton, cousin and lady-in-waiting to Anne Boleyn.
