Bring in your gently used children's books for a good cause - for children of soldiers. We're partnering with an Army surgeon working in Iraq, who will film soldiers reading children's books. Then the book and the video will be sent to the soldier's child back home. It's a high-tech way to let that child have "storytime" with Mom or Dad, even if they're deployed. Of course, you can also purchase a new book to donate as well.
Terrence Holt, a Raleigh resident and physician, brings us IN THE VALLEY OF THE KINGS. This collection of one novella and 7 stories leaps across genres and millennia, from small-town America to the depths of space -- exploring the dark corners of human nature.
Dr. Holt has been a frequent contributor of stories to magazines.
