David Sedaris
David Sedaris and his family moved to Raleigh from upstate New York when David was seven. Although he since moved on to Alaska, New York, and Paris, his devastating biographical satires are frequently set in Raleigh. You can hear him on NPR or read his essays in the New Yorker or Esquire.
If you want to make someone laugh uncontrollably, get them HOLIDAYS ON ICE, featuring THE SANTALAND DIARIES, or ME TALK PRETTY ONE DAY. David's newest book is SQUIRREL SEEKS CHIPMUNK, a very modern book of animal fables with a uniquely Sedaris spin!
